Flowmeters to Cameron
In April 2009 Framo Engineering was awarded a contract from Cameron GmbH for the supply of fully retrievable PhaseWatcher Vx multiphase flowmeters (MPFM), Framo subsea sampling vessels, and associated equipment for the Block 31 programme. This contract is the largest PhaseWatcher Vx contract ever awarded to Framo Engineering. This comes as a result of nearly two years of cooperation on this project and with continued engineering and development of the PhaseWatcher Vx.
The programme focuses on four projects within the BP's operated blocks within the Angola Block 31 North East , and Block 31 South East (Mid and South). All of the projects are based on subsea production wells tied-back to an external turret moored converted FPSO. The fully retrievable PhaseWatcher Vx will be installed in all subsea production manifolds for use within the subsea control system and will directly measure the oil, water and gas flow rates without any separation of the production flow. The Framo subsea sampler will be used to extract subsea samples for PVT analysis. The Framo subsea sampler has been designed to handle the project specific fluid phases (including sandy and sour fluid), production rates and temperature throughout the field lifetime. Delivery of hardware for the first phase is scheduled to commence in June 2009 and is scheduled to conclude in June 2011. |
