Framo Engineering is a Total System Supplier to the worldwide oil and gas industry, supplying leading market technology for subsea processing, multiphase boosting, and wet gas compression. Our firm commitment to the industry and our focus on HSE are made visible through modern and advanced facilities established for the engineering, manufacture and life-of-field support of the systems and products we deliver.

The system supply extends from subsea rotating machinery, processing elements and power and control systems, through to topside modular power systems. The complete system always includes a comprehensive test in one of our advanced in-house multiphase test loops and subsea test facilities. These are unmatched by anyone. The products and services in this product range contribute to increased recovery and production wherever they are applied.

Framo multiphase and wet gas meters (using Vx Technology) have dominated the subsea and topside market due to their technological robustness, accuracy and flexibility. Our customers around the world rely on Vx technology to monitor and optimize their reservoirs, which is their most valuable asset. The technology is also widely used for allocation processes which have significant fiscal implications both for the operators and for the government of the host country.

The Framo Swivel System, and recently also turret systems, are utilized on a large number of Floating Production Vessels in most major oil and gas provinces around the world. The technology's inherent robustness has been instrumental in securing excellent uptime for what is a very critical system for the operators and owners of the FPSO. The technological elements from this long-term field-proven range of products, have also formed the basis for further development of our systems for Offshore Cryogenic Transfer (OCT) for the LNG market, and of our deepwater tanker loading system (FSL).

Efficient and proactive follow-up of the performance of all delivered products and systems is secured by our Customer Support organization (CS) using our remote monitoring and diagnostic system FRIEND (FRamo Interactive ENabling Diagnostics). Through FRIEND, 24-7 on-call personnel are alerted when system conditions change or if equipment operation deviates from recommended best practice. Depending on the categorized severity of an incident or alert, customers can be notified efficiently through the web-based communication functionality in the client web-portal. CS operates Framo Engineering’s international base activity and coordinates with our international partners in all regions, in order to supply experienced field engineers and local support for each and every product we supply.
